Ethical Approval Policy
Bulletin of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Social Work adheres to the national legislation of Ukraine and international ethical standards governing the conduct of scientific research.
All studies submitted for publication in the journal that involve human participants (including surveys, interviews, observations, and experiments), animals or their biological materials, or personal, sensitive, or confidential data must comply with the requirements of the applicable legislation of Ukraine, in particular in the fields of personal data protection, bioethics, and human rights.
Mandatory requirements for authors
Authors are required to:

obtain prior ethical approval from an appropriate authorized body (ethics committee, bioethics committee, institutional review board, etc.), where required by legislation;

indicate in the text of the article or in a separate section (Ethics Statement) information on the availability of such approval, including the name of the approving body, the date, and the protocol/reference number (where applicable);

confirm that informed consent was obtained from research participants, where applicable;

ensure the anonymity and confidentiality of personal data.
If a study does not fall under the requirement for mandatory ethical approval, authors must provide an appropriate and reasoned explanation.
The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject a manuscript in the absence of the required ethical approval or in cases of non-compliance with ethical standards.
